OUR MISSION "TO BE IN SERVICE" We want to empower people like YOU who want to connect with themselves and others in their lives on a deeper level. Nothing moves us more than knowing we've helped touch someone's life. But we didn't stop at our customers. We wanted to empower our friends too, so we created a business model that employs local stay-at-home moms who handcraft all our jewelry from their own homes, on their own time frame, and most importantly earn a thriving wage. WHAT WE VALUE Like you, we want to make the world the best place it can be. As a mother-owned and operated business, we feel a responsibility to do the right thing. We pride ourselves on the best customer service. We work with local vendors whenever possible from printers to gemstone suppliers. We value our environment and print on paper that is FSC certified, use only eco-friendly packaging, and we offer a carbon-neutral delivery option. Each year we share a percentage of our proceeds with nonprofit organizations who empower through service and kindness. OUR COMMITMENT TO GIVING BACK WE RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS A percentage of every SoulKu purchase is donated to nonprofits and organizations who share our mission and values. Over the past few years we have been moved by so many organizations—both in our local community and across the US—whose missions are to support, encourage, and empower women, babies, and families. As a woman-owned and operated business we believe it's crucial for us to help other women and children in need so they too can feel empowered! NONPROFITS WE HAVE SUPPORTED BABIES NEED BOTTOMS MISSION: To improve the lives of babies, toddlers, and parents in Western North Carolina through diaper distribution, community awareness, and partnerships. BABY2BABY MISSION: To provide children living in poverty with diapers, clothing, and all the basic necessities that every child deserves. AMERICAN FOUNDATION FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION MISSION: Dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide through a nationwide community empowered by research, education, and advocacy. NERDY GIRL SUCCESS MISSION: To change the landscape of leadership by supporting and preparing young women of diverse backgrounds to become the decision makers in business, politics, the arts and more, thus making their impact on society. PROJECT GLIMMER MISSION: To inspire every girl to envision and realize her empowered future by growing personal confidence, meeting positive role models, and building a supportive network. THE HOPE CHEST MISSION: To offer financial assistance for both medical and non medical expenses, along with information on community resources, education on cancer prevention, and emotional support. Most importantly they give hope to women in Western North Carolina living with breast or gynecological cancers. Proceeds from our Rose Quartz Survivor necklace are donated to this amazing organization. OPENDOORS OF ASHEVILLE MISSION: To strengthen community by eliminating the race based opportunity and achievement gaps for students through education.
