Since 1991, we've donated more than $29 million to help solve the world’s most pressing challenges. We work with nonprofits across the country to positively impact communities where we do business, to give back to those who have supported us along the way, and to advocate for a future that's bright for all. GRANT PROGRAM Partnering with nonprofit organizations and community involvement have always been a significant part of New Belgium's ethos. In the early 90’s we put our money where our hearts were and set aside $1 for every barrel of beer sold to donate to nonprofit organizations in communities where our beer was distributed. Today we've donated more than $29 million to help solve the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges through grants and other giving initiatives. IN-KIND DONATIONS We at New Belgium love to get involved in our communities and are honored to support organizations with in-kind donations. Some of the most interesting people we meet are through community events and outreach. BEER SCOUTS VOLUNTEER PROGRAM The Beer Scouts are New Belgium coworkers who are passionate about social, environmental and cultural change. Throughout the year we sponsor volunteer events that engage our coworkers, like-minded businesses and New Belgium beer drinkers to give back and inspire positive change. COWORKER ASSITANCE FUND In 1991 we committed to doing business in a different way and showing up as a force for good in the world. In the truest sense of that commitment, we take care of one another. Our high involvement culture ensures that wealth, opportunity, and responsibility are shared among the people who pour themselves into making New Belgium successful. With that spirit, we established the New Belgium Coworker Assistance Fund. It was created by coworkers to provide financial support to those who need assistance due to personal hardship or catastrophic disaster. 1% FOR THE PLANET In 2008 New Belgium was the first brewery to join 1% for the Planet. More than 10 years later, Fat Tire Amber Ale remains committed to ensuring the future of our only home. 1% for the Planet certifies that at least 1% of Fat Tire Family sales and Mountain Time Lager sales go directly to nonprofits working to protect our shared resources.
