Jared’s Jams

Jared's Jams was started by Jared Niemeyer in 2014 as a personal Special Olympics fundraising initiative. In 2014 Jared represented Special Olympics at the United Nations in order to promote policy of acceptance in every nation. He wanted to "give back" to the organization that had done so much to "help me become a better me.” With the fruit (blackberries, plums, apples, strawberries, pears and peppers) from his family farm he began making jams to sell at a local farmers market. At the end of two years, Jared opted to shift his fundraising initiative to a small business. Now it has evolved into a small business with a fully-operational FDA-approved kitchen where jams, jellies, fruit syrup, specialty coffee blends and vanilla extracts are lovingly created in small batches with quality ingredients for wholesomeness and flavor. Jared’s Jams is a BuyMissouri business! BuyMissouri is an economic development initiative started by the Lieutenant Governor to actively promote to other states and the world the products that are grown, manufactured, processed, and/or made in Missouri. Jared remains very active in Special Olympics as an athlete, leader, spokesperson and advocate. This business allows him to continue to support the organization that has and continues to bless him.
