eat. drink. be golden.
humble beginnings
In 1965, we opened our very first store in the Five Points neighborhood of Athens, Georgia to provide area residents and UGA college students with easy access to everyday goods. Our flagship store and landmark sign still remain.
a commitment to service
From the very beginning, our founders made it their top priority to offer the very highest level of service possible. This single-minded approach pervades to this day, through each and every Golden Pantry Food Store that we operate.
athens, ga, born and raised
We’re proud to call this little Piedmont city our birthplace, and the bulk of our stores can be found within the greater Athens area. Today, we are making efforts to partner with and support providers of local goods.
neighborhood involvement
It's our way of saying "Thank You".
we strive to give back to the local neighborhoods who have supported us for over 50 years.
