But something was missing – there were no fresh donuts! So, they decided to create their own and Duck Donuts was born. Every store has the opportunity to partner with local nonprofits, organizations, teams, or even individuals in the community for fundraising support and building awareness for their cause. OUR DONUT SHOP IS PROUD TO BE A PART OF EVERY COMMUNITY! Duck champions unite! Each September, Duck Donuts partners with Gabe’s Chemo Duck Program, a non-profit organization that provides education, comfort, and hope through stuffed ducks, medical play, and therapeutic tools. The national sponsorship ensures that children undergoing treatment for cancer can have access to their own Chemo Duck, a stuffed yellow duck dressed in blue hospital scrubs with a chemotherapy port, to help them learn what to expect during treatment and have a friend to share the experience. Since becoming a sponsor in 2017, Duck Donuts is proud to announce it has raised more than $210,000 throughout all locations during its annual campaign supporting Gabe’s Chemo Duck Program. More than 3,500 Chemo Duck programs have been provided to children undergoing cancer treatment in the communities we serve thanks to the support of our loyal customers, franchise owners, and team members. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Gabe’s Chemo Duck Program and providing huggable hope to many kids in need.
