Cooper Farms is a diversified farm and food company based in Northwest and West Central Ohio, an area rich in agricultural tradition. Born and raised in the area, the Cooper family has strengthened existing relationships and made new ones, deepening their roots and growing their father’s business. Today, raising turkeys, hogs and laying hens is only half of the business. Vertical integration has allowed us to monitor quality throughout our processes, ensuring our customers are receiving the highest quality products possible. This includes taking a hands-on approach to overseeing the day-to-day care of our animals, as well as manufacturing the feed that keeps them healthy and strong. COMMUNITY SUPPORT The Coopers have carried on their father Virgil’s commitment to giving back to local community groups. In many ways, these donations have reached Cooper Farms team members and their families. We are proud of our more than 2,000 team members, many of whom donate their personal time to support volunteer fire departments and EMS as well as many other local organizations. As a farm and food company, we do not take the task of producing healthy food lightly. We are blessed to be able to make multiple donations of nutritious protein each year to Ohio’s foodbanks. The Cooper Family Foundation supports local organizations such as churches, scouts clubs, 4-H groups and fire departments. In honor of their founder and forefather, Virgil Cooper, the Cooper family gives scholarships to local high school students near each of the company’s four locations. Often these scholarships are awarded to our team member’s children.
