Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream

Our mission is to make the world better, one scoop at a time as a multigenerational gathering place with sustainability and happiness at the core of all we do. The world is a big place, made smaller, we believe, by the act of sharing a sweet treat with someone you love. Our team works hard to create deliciousness by partnering with local farmers and producers — from jam-makers and beekeepers to strawberry farmers and coffee roasters — to turn the best, freshest, most creative local flavors into truly outstanding ice cream. IN ACTION We source 90% of our ingredients from the Pacific Northwest. Buying from farmers in our community keeps dollars in our local economy, and it cuts down on the amount of fossil fuels needed to transport ingredients to our Seattle kitchens. We donate over 20,000 gallons of milk to food banks throughout the year. We give at least 10% of profits to food banks, equity organizations, women and girl empowerment initiatives each year. We practice wage transparency so that our mooncrew can better advocate for themselves in the workplace. We have a 401k and matching program to help our mooncrew save for their future. We take sustainability very seriously, so everything we use in the shops is 100% compostable: spoons, straws, pint containers & lids … even your milkshake cup! We've committed to wind power on our journey to ever greater sustainability. By investing in Green-e Certified renewable energy certificates, our 39,248 kWh of monthly electric consumption is now 39,248 kWh of monthly clean energy. We are a founding member business of the Main Street Alliance. Since 2008, Main Street Alliance has countered the political misuse of small businesses by corporate interests and the very wealthy, advocating that unregulated capitalism and bootstrap ideology undermine the needs and values of actual small businesses and our employees. We have worked with MSA to include small business benefits in the Affordable Care Act, increase the minimum wage, enact Paid Safe & Sick Time, Secure Scheduling and mandatory Paid Family Leave in our state in addition to winning billions of dollars of help for small businesses through pandemic related aid acts in 2020 and 2021.
